Privacy
This is my personal site, and I run it myself. Here’s what it does with your information. In short: as little as
I could manage.
The site
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no cookies, except the mentor chat’s sign-in cookie below.
- Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, it keeps its own request logs (such as your IP address and the
pages you asked for). Its privacy policy applies.
The mentor chat
The mentor chat is for people I mentor, by invitation.
- This site doesn’t store your conversation. It lives only in your browser, and it’s gone when you close or
reload the page.
- To answer you, your messages are sent to Anthropic’s Claude model and pass through Vercel. Their privacy
policies apply.
- The site’s own logs never contain your messages, your access code, or your email address. They record only
counts, like how long a reply was, and error codes.
Signing in with Google
- If you sign in with Google, Google tells this site your name, email address, and profile picture. The site
uses only your email address, to check it against my list of mentees, and keeps nothing.
- Google knows you signed in here. Google’s privacy policy applies.
- The site doesn’t ask Google for anything else: no contacts, no calendar, no files.
The sign-in cookie
- After you sign in, a cookie keeps this browser signed in for 7 days, unless you sign out.
- It says who you signed in as (your email address if you used Google; a fingerprint of your code, not the
code itself, if you used a code), signed so it can’t be forged.
- It lives only in your browser, and it’s sent only to the chat, never to other sites. Signing out deletes it.
